Job Description


  • Support financial period end close activities and financial reporting;
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts/budget and analysis;
  • Fixed assets register to be maintained accurately including depreciation computation, fixed assets tagging, etc;
  • Manage tax compliance and tax planning activities such as provision of monthly income tax, deferred tax computation, etc;
  • Lead and support implementation of e-invoicing project with clear timeline and project charter to ensure successful implementation;
  • Manage external reporting, such as statutory reporting, central bank, statistics, etc;
  • Ensure cash book and bank reconciliation to be maintained and performed on timely basis;
  • Liaise with auditors (internal & external), bankers, tax agents, company secretary and other statutory bodies/authorities as and when the need arises;
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, Cash flow statement and other reports;
  • Work closely with the production team to analyze and manage product costing. Ensure accurate cost allocation, monitor cost variances, and provide insights to optimize production costs.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups;
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls policy;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; and
  • Support and initiate business process improvement (Lean) initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Degree in Accounting, Professional Certificate or equivalent in Accounting;
  • At least 6 to 8 years of financial and accounting experience, preferably gained from multinational companies and audit firm. Strong knowledge in Accounting Standards is essential;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Accounting software;
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Applicants should possess good communication skills, can contribute as a team player and able to handle multitasking duties as assigned;
  • Applicants should be of the quality of analytical, meticulous and resourceful; and
  • Proficient in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
